Breaking Changes

• Support for Raspberry Pi 3 is discontinued.
• Support for Ubuntu 18.04 will be discontinued in the next major release (6.1).

General Improvements

• JPG is now the default screenshot format (smaller file size than PNG).
• Improved Mute action settings: added Alt + U hotkey and local media button.
• Added “Mute incoming sound” button for layout items (active when “Play audio from all cameras on layout” is enabled).
• Sound playback on a layout item now highlights that item.
• NXE VCA Cameras: ROI config now applies correctly after restart.
• Improved hardware acceleration device selection when multiple video adapters are present.

Bug Fixes

General Fixes

• When “Keep camera stream and profile settings” was enabled and the configured profile was removed, the Server now switches to a default profile automatically.
• Server no longer changes time on cameras when “Allow System to optimize Camera Settings” is disabled.

UI Fixes

• Cloud connection metrics in Web Admin on Linux displayed correctly after merges.
• Fixed missing streams in Desktop Client after failover (recording unaffected).
• Fixed sound playback loss when opening a zoom window.
• Shared (Cloud) layouts now display properly after saving.
• Admins can now modify group membership and permissions for Cloud accounts.
• Hotspot streams no longer flip upside down.

API / SDK Updates

• All API and SDK changes are reflected in the Meta Release Notes.

Hanwha Only

• ROI area configuration now saved properly on Hanwha cameras (e.g., XND-6085V).
• Streaming settings preserved even when “Keep camera stream and profile settings” is enabled.
• Fixed cameras going offline when the same setting was disabled.
• Default ROI display fixed for TID-600R Intercom.
• Object detection settings preserved for Hanwha PNB-A9001 cameras.

API / SDK New Features

• Added new function /rest/v{3-}/devices/{deviceId}/ptz/limits to retrieve Device PTZ limitations.

API / SDK Improvements

• Response for /rest/v{2-}/devices/*/searches may now include url as target field value.
• Added new query parameter aspectRatio to /rest/v3/devices/{id}/media, /media.{format}, and /webrtc.
• Improved handling of limit parameter in /ec2/analyticsLookupObjectTracks for multi-Mediaserver archives.

API / SDK Bug Fixes

• Option added to skip aspect ratio setting in MediaSettings to avoid transcoding.
• HLS streaming API now correctly respects Access-Control-Allow-Origin configuration.
• Fixed “invalid storage path” issue when adding SMB network storage.
• Admin accounts can now modify group membership and permissions for synced Cloud accounts.
• REST API /rest/v{1-}/webPages now includes restored parentId parameter.
• maxSceneVideoItems setting now correctly limits layout items.
• Stub analytics “Object Streamer” engine crash resolved when applying settings.

API / SDK Known Issues

• Building sample plugins from Metadata SDK using GCC 7.5 may fail on ARM devices. Newer GCC versions work correctly.
